Tal y Foel is the home of Lewis and Judy Hutchings and is on the shore of the Menai Straits. It is small and friendly and in a peaceful rural location with spectacular views across the Straits to Caernarfon Castle and the mountains of Snowdonia. It is ideal for birdwatching, walking and fishing. The Isle of Anglesey Stud Farm & Riding Centre (Tel: 01246-430377) is adjacent and offers individually designed riding courses for adults and family members. We do not accept unaccompanied children for riding holidays.

We are near Newborough Forest and the beaches and tourist attractions of South Anglesey.

We have bed and breakfast accommodation in three large en-suite rooms with whirlpool baths.    Two rooms have both double and single beds, and the third has a double bed and bunk beds; all have room for an additional bed or cot. There are tea and coffee making facilities, radios, TV's, hairdryers and supplementary heating in all rooms, there is a lounge with a games cupboard. Other facilities include a high chair, iron and telephone callbox. There is a choice of nearby eating places at reasonable prices.

Tal y Foel is next door to the British Horse Society Isle of Anglesey Riding Centre, which offers individually designed courses of instruction as well as hacks/treks on the beach and on several miles of grass tracks. They have a cross-country training course and offer horse livery for guests bringing their own horses.

Directions : From Llanfairpwll follow the A4080 towards Newborough. Stay on the A4080 through Brynsiencyn and then follow the signs to Tal y Foel Riding Centre. Go straight ahead into the No Through Road and follow the road for 1.5 miles down to the Menai Straits. We are on the sea front.
