Mynydd Mwyn Mawr is situated in a quiet rural location, 'off the beaten track'. It is an ideal place to get away from it all, to unwind and relax in the heartland of Anglesey. Our farmhouse is set in 220 acres, where we grow fodder crops and breed and rear Farm Assured beef and sheep. A variety of farming activities take place around the yard as the seasons change, from lambing in early spring to harvesting. We have tried to ensure that our farming practice is part traditional balanced with the modern to help this environmentally sensitive area survive. During summer months John is involved with showing our pedigree cattle (Charolet, Limousins and Herefords), and he can often be seen rushing into the house with a rosette in hand for a change of clothes before heading off to the next show. He can sometimes be persuaded to give rides on his quad bike in a tractor, or you can practice your Welsh with him! Visitors are welcome to participate in farming activities, where possible and safe to do so, or walk at their leisure around the fields.
We welcome you to our Farmhouse, which we have altered to create a family room with en suite facilities. An en suite was added to our double room and there is a further twin room with a wash basin and the use of a bathroom. Our family room sleeps two adults and two/three children, (we are able to provide a cot and high chair if needed). There are hospitality trays, hair dryers and televisions in each of the rooms. Laundry facilities are available upon request, for which a charge may be made. We have ample safe parking and there is space for boats and or bicycles. Meals are served in the Dining room and there is a comfortable guests lounge with open fire and television.
The garden is enclosed and provides a safe environment for children to play in.
